Core Keeper. Carried to a mysterious world by an ancient relic known as The Core, you wake up in a long-forgotten cave full of treasures and untold secrets. Welcome to Core Keeper, a top-down sandbox game in a procedurally generated, underground world! Play alone or in groups of up to 4 people, you will take the role of explorer in search of a way home and put his survival skills to the test. Your journey begins in the Dirt Biome, an earthy landscape full of useful resources - ideal for those embarking on their adventures. Harvest wood, mushrooms and copper ore to create your very first tools, recipes and armor to survive in this strange new land. Facing unusual (and often hostile!) creatures like Slimes and Shroomen, you need a lot of equipment if you want to dive deeper into the cave system and discover the many biomes of Core Keeper. Exploration is the name of the game, from the dark depths of the Forgotten Ruins and the green vistas of the Azeos Wilderness all the way to the salty waters of the Sunken Sea and the glittering treasures of the Glittering Border! Surprises await around every corner, but beware, danger lurks in the shadows. Titan bosses dominate the underground and it's up to you to gather their souls to amplify The Core. You'll need to upgrade your gear, collect skill points, and unlock talents to tackle these giants; each more powerful than the last. Making the right armor, weapons, potions and accessories can be the difference between life and death in the subsurface. But don't worry, death is not permanent, but you have to go back to your headstone to collect lost loot. Collecting resources can be challenging at first, but you will soon discover the wonders of farming, fishing and livestock. All of this yields ingredients that can be combined in the cooking pot to make delicious recipes that satisfy your hunger and offer unique buffs! With over 2,000 recipes to discover, it pays to spend some time experimenting. Cooking ingredients are just one of the uses for livestock, as many also drop craft materials needed to create functional (and fashionable) armor and decorative items! It pays to keep these cute creatures close. Speaking of cute, cattle aren't the only useful creatures in Core Keeper. You will probably encounter an interesting-looking egg or two on your travels. Put them in the incubator and you will have a new best friend hatched in no time! There are over 10 pets to discover, in multiple color combinations, and they are the perfect partners in battle. As you make your path through the subway, you'll find the materials you need to build bases where you can rest, recover, and craft to your heart's content. You can even turn your base into homes with the Painter and Carpenter Tables to create endless decorations in a vibrant array of colors. Whether you're building a cozy cottage to come home after a long day exploring or a practical pit stop to store and heal loot, there's something for everyone in Core Keeper — including a creative mode where your imagination is the only limitation! You will know that you will get used to life on the subway when you unlock automations using the Electronics Table. This crafting station can be used to make all kinds of equipment, from levers, circuits and generators to pressure plates, dynamite packages and more! With the right setup, you can automate things like mining and farming - you can even get creative and use it to collect resources from mobs. Each step on your adventure brings you closer to discovering the secrets of The Core in a game designed to be played at your own pace.
